April 25-26 2013 I was guest artist at the University of Minnesota in Duluth and had the opportunity collaborate with an outstanding composer, Justin Henry Rubin. Justin and I had never meet in person but I had premiered two of his chamber works in 2012 and love his music. While on campus, activities included: an injury prevention workshop, bassoon masterclass, a discussion on the role of women in music, a roundtable discussion with female students, and working with the composition students on new unaccompanied works written for bassoon.
